I lost ownership and access to our project, "Sample Project", after inviting team members through a mass email invitation with manager rights. My email address was included in the mailing list, and I mistakenly became a manager. I attempted to remove my "duplicate" account, but this action resulted in a loss of access to project settings and all other project rights.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Invite team members to a project through a mass email invitation with manager rights
-Accidentally include your email address in the mailing list
Become a manager of the project
-Attempt to remove duplicate account
-Lose access to project settings and all other project rights
Expected Results:
Inviting team members with manager rights should not result in the loss of ownership and access to the project for the account owner.
Actual Results:
The inclusion of the account owner's email address in the mass email invitation with manager rights caused the account owner to lose ownership and access to the project settings.
Impact:
This bug has the potential to cause significant disruption and inconvenience to project owners who invite team members using mass email invitations with non-owner rights.
Severity:
This bug is of high severity as it causes the loss of ownership and access to the project settings for the account owner.
Reproducibility:
This bug can be reproduced by inviting team members with non-owner rights through a mass email invitation that includes the account owner's email address.
Additional Notes:
It is recommended that the development team review and update the process of inviting team members to prevent account owners from losing ownership rights.
